KCCI DEMANDS PTCL TO RESOLVE ITS INTERNAL ISSUES
Karachi Chamber of Commerce & Industry demands Government and PTCL management to resolve its internal issues which is causing more problems for business community.
The business activities have already been badly affected due to frequent increase in prices of petroleum and essential foods items and unstable law and order situation. Necessary utilities providers particularly PTCL have not been performing their duties within the country have compelled it to face additional challenges. Its has hampered to utilize our communication resources to sustain foreign partners and stakeholders as well as local business. Moreover, in recent monsoon, communication system of PTCL has also badly suffered and no corrective measures have so far been taken.
Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) with its management disturbance after privatization, its staff is reluctant to perform their duties. Due to recent two weeks strike by PTCL workers, business community has faced business losses. 90% of business activities are done through landline telephones and despite complaints lodged by consumers in all exchanges of Karachi, PTCL management has not yet been able to resolve their internal issues resulting, businesses are suffering badly. Therefore it is stressed that PTCL should take immediate action to provide the uninterrupted communication facilities to its consumers on warfooting basis.
