Sales Tax Collectorate’s Counter at KCCI

“The Central Board of Revenue, in response to Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s proposal given during visit of Ms. Musarrat Jabeen, Member Sales Tax, has  agreed to open an additional window of Collectorate of Sales Tax in the KCCI premises as well, and depute Sales Tax officials for initially collection of Summary Statement from the Registered Persons, on their sales and purchases, as required under section 26(5) of the Sales Tax Act, 1990. The counter at KCCI will be operative from 13th to 15th of every month from 9.30 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. except Friday (9.00 am to 12.30 p.m). Prior to it there was only one window at Sales Tax House Karachi, which was not able to handle the growing number of registered persons and as such establishment of an additional counter in KCCI building will facilitate them in meeting their legal requirement, well in time.” This was stated by Majyd Aziz, President, KCCI.

Majyd Aziz also said that this facility is another milestone in achieving the vision of KCCI to provide top grade service to its members. He added that all expenses would be borne by KCCI.
